1. Where do we meet?

    All groups should meet at 116th & Broadway in front of the Columbia gates.

  2. What do we do once everyone's here?

    Once your group has met up in front of the gates at 116th and Broadway, it's time to hail a cab. For JFK and LGA, we recommend heading northbound. For EWR, head southbound.

  3. What if someone's late?

    Members of a group may optionally decide to wait up to 10 minutes after the scheduled departure time if a group member is late. After 10 minutes, the group must leave. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, and your group is not there, there is nothing more that can be done. Group members will have each other's mobile phones in case of emergency.

  4. How do we split the fare?

    All members of the group agree to split the fare evenly amongst those in attendence. If the total fare with tip and toll comes to $45, and there are 3 people in the car, then each person must contribute $15.

  5. What about tips?

    If an agreement on the tip cannot be reached, the tip should be 15% of the fare. If the total comes to $40, the tip should roughly be $6.

  6. Can students outside of Columbia come?

    No. This site only allows Columbia or Barnard students to register. In order to form or join a group, we check that your specified email is valid, belongs to you, and is part of Columbia or Barnard.

  7. What if someone has excess luggage?

    We keep our groups to 3 people to allow extra room for luggage. Each group member can bring one suitcase and a carry on bag, as deemed acceptable by FAA standards. If for some reason, the luggage cannot fit in the trunk and front seat, we recommend that your group takes a minivan taxi which has extra room.

  8. What about last minute retractions?

    In the case that, for some reason, a group of 3 becomes 2, the two passengers must be willing to split the fare two ways. Hey, it's still better than not splitting it at all.

  9. Why do you need my mobile?

    We email your mobile to your group a day before you leave so that they can contact you in case of a problem.

  10. Will I get a reminder?

    We'll send you a reminder 2 days before your group is scheduled to leave. In the reminder, we'll give you the full names of your group members as well as their mobile numbers and emails.

  11. Why was I put in a group of 1, when there's a group of 2 leaving at the same time?

    That means that there is a secret third person in the group of 2 who has not yet confirmed her reservation. We hold the reservation for 24 hours and, if not confirmed within that timeframe, we open up that spot.

  12. The group I want is full! What can I do?

    That's crazy talk! No worries; the system will automatically create another group for you. Just select the time you would like to leave and let the system take care of the rest.

  13. How do I switch my group?

    To switch your group, cancel your existing reservation, then create a new one. It's as if you're cancelling your reservation, and creating a brand new one.

  14. How do I cancel my group?

    To cancel your group, click cancel from the menu, or click here.

  15. Who made this site?

    This site was made by Adam Goldberg (EN '07) to make going to the airport easier. Laura Skelton (CC '06), Wayne Ting (CC '06), and Peter Merelis (NYU '06) contributed greatly to the design and workings of the site. The Engineering Student Council was also very helpful with the site's publicity.
